AutoPush works within the Transaction Manager platform to streamline the processing of financial transactions. Using machine learning, AutoPush predicts the Payee and Category fields for transactions coming directly from your financial institution.
How AutoPush Works
- Automatic Posting: When AutoPush predicts a transaction's Payee and Category with high confidence, it will automatically post the transaction to your general ledger.
- Manual Review Required: If the prediction confidence is not high enough, the transaction will be flagged for your accounting team's review to ensure its accuracy before posting.
Understanding Confidence Levels
AutoPush categorizes its predictions into three confidence levels, each represented by a color-coded lightning bolt icon:
-
High Confidence (98% or higher): Represented in green, this level indicates strong confidence in the prediction. The message "We feel really good about this recommendation!" accompanies high-confidence predictions.
-
Medium Confidence (90-97.99%): Yellow represents this level. Here, the system suggests review, with the message, "We'd really like some review on this one, we didn't have all the information to make a confident decision."
-
Low Confidence (0-89.99%): This level, indicated by red, also recommends review. The accompanying message is, "We'd really like some review on this one, we did not have all the information to make a confident decision."
Monthly Improvement and Your Involvement
- Learning Over Time: With each transaction processed, AutoPush's machine learning algorithm becomes more accurate and robust, improving its predictive capabilities month after month.
- Your Role in Categorization: If your accounting team needs help categorizing a transaction, they will assign it to you. Depending on your Notification Settings, you will receive an email and/or an in-application notification to complete the categorization for assigned transactions.
Important Setup Note
- Configuration and Connection Requirements: Your accounting firm is responsible for setting up the AutoPush configurations. Additionally, a Smart Connect connection is required to use AutoPush effectively.
