Mastering Portal Navigation
Understanding the Business Portal's Navigation
This section provides a detailed guide on how to navigate the business portal, tailored for both single and multiple entity businesses. The portal's design includes a memory logic feature, ensuring that upon each login, you're taken back to your last active section or module. For users logging in for the first time, the guide begins with the default landing module.
- For First-Time Users: Upon initial login, you'll be directed to the 'Work' module, positioned at the beginning of the left menu pane.
- Next Steps Based on Business Type:
- Single Entity Business: Refer to the "Single Entity Business" section.
- Multiple Entity Business: Head to the "Multiple Entity Business" section.
Single Entity Business Navigation
If your business comprises a single entity, your left menu pane will include:
- Work: Centralizes communication and tasks with your accounting firm, enhancing efficiency and team coordination.
- Documents: A facility to manage, review, and store files. It also allows direct communication with your accounting firm from within a file or document.
- Transaction Manager: Prioritizes transactions needing your input, allowing updates individually or in batches.
- Smart Connect: Connects your financial institutions for streamlined month-end reconciliations.
- Password Manager: Safely stores all your passwords in one place.
- Portal Manager: Administers your business and portal user details.
- Business Insights: Provides real-time financial and non-financial data, essential for informed decision-making.
Access these modules by selecting them from the left menu pane.
Multiple Entity Business Navigation
For businesses with multiple entities, the portal includes different functionalities:
- Navigate by Business: A search box to quickly find and select your business entity.
- Work: Similar to the single entity setup, it organizes tasks and communication with your accounting firm.
- Documents: Manages files and enables direct communication from within documents.
- Portal Manager: Handles details for multiple business entities and user access.
- Business Insights: Delivers entity-specific insights and analytics.
Upon identifying a client in the 'Navigate by Business' search box, four additional modules become available:
- Transaction Manager: Focuses on key transactions for each entity.
- Smart Connect: Facilitates connections with financial institutions for each entity.
- Password Manager: Manages passwords securely for different entities.
- Business Insights (Business Level): Offers customized insights for each specific business entity.
To navigate to these modules, select your choice from the left menu pane. Remember, for multiple businesses, ensure a client is selected in the 'Navigate by Business' box to view additional modules.
